MINISTRY AND MISSION
Our support of Apportionments involves us with other United Methodists in ministry and mission around the world. Our church government, or polity, is similar to a representational democracy. Each individual church elects representatives who go Annual Conference. These elect representative who go to Jurisdictional and General Conference. At each level budgets are established and voted on for agencies and programs. The local church Apportionment is the fair share portion for each congregation.

Tangent Christmas Party (Buddy’s Kids) for many years, FUMC has hosted a special Christmas party for children in need from the White County School System. Identified by their teachers, The students go to the White County Fairgrounds for a meal, a complete set of clothes, shoes, a winter coat, toys from Santa, Oranges, apples, Candy and Love of Christ through our members and volunteers from our community. Currently we average over 150+ children.
Always best to call and verify the following:
First Sunday take Church Communion and homebound.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study (periodic): 10:00am – downstairs in the Fellowship Hall or in the Koinonia Classroom.
Wednesday Adult Studies: periodic short term studies. Call church office for details.
Wednesday Evening Rehearsals: Chancel Choir and Spirit Ringers Bell Choir. If interested in either Choir or Spirit Ringers please contact the Church office for information.
United women in faith
United women in faith is a group for all denominations of women of the community. Meetings and a luncheon is at Noon the first tuesday of every month in the churches social hall. For Information contact the church office.
